"Nature provides the materials, we provide the inspiration."
Lynne is a teacher, contemporary basketweaver and gourd artist living in Southern California. She weaves primarily with natural materials incorporating what can be gathered from local areas into her art.

Her home is in the mountains surrounding San Juan Capistrano and provides an ever changing palette of textures and subtle colors that inspire her to create her unique baskets and gourds.

Currently, Lynne is weaving baskets and creating jewelry from Mizuhiki, a Japanese mylar cord. The materials, traditionally used for ceremonial purposes, dates back to the 8th century. Look for her Mizuhiki basketry in the exhibition"Echoes of the East" at The Folk Tree Collection Gallery in Pasadena California, August 26- September 28.

You can see her work in Mary Hettmanspergers's new book "Fabulous Woven Jewelry" and also in "Weekend Gourd Crafts" by Ginger Summit.
